You know,i always have tried to be away from Mumbai for all the obvisous reasons..the classic smell of the sea,the pollution, the noise, the weather, the typical Mumbaikar attitude..and so on goes the list..
But something changed for me on the 26th..do i call it India's 9/11??? Is it??? Does it have to be compared???
I sat shocked, stunned and very angry when it had all begun..i was not angry with those mindless youngsters who came into Mumbai to do their job..they had come and they would do it to the last breath..i was angry..very angry..when it all started,Mumbai police were so evidently helplessly running around to do 'something' to stop those youngsters..what was that something they didn't know am sure.i was angry because the moment i saw it,the first thing that came to me was-what are they doing??? The Army needs to handle this..the special task force is needed here..And, what has happened is history now..A big round of applause for our Leaders..
There has been an amazing sense of resilience one can feel from the Mumbaikars..only you can stand up so soon and go on with life..Life will never be the same but this is yet another chance for you people..for us all..for India..to stand up and show it to them..Force those who have taken our lives for a ride to either quit or deliver! Boycott them..ask them to Leave. Refuse them till they listen to us..and sit when they are asked to and stand when they are asked to..
How can we forget that this is a country which is supposed to function on the lines of:
Of the People, For the People and By the People?
